House of Champions 

Mellichamp 3rd Grade House of Champions Team Grit scholars shared their ELA classroom with Teach for America! Ms. Brailov, Teach for America "2017 Sue Lehmann National Excellence In Teaching Award Recipient", hosted a visit with thirty-four committed future Teach for America South Carolina teachers. These future teachers interacted with her scholars during an engaging technology based reading lesson focused on using context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words. Ms. Brailov summarized the visit by stating, "This visit was important for my scholars because they had the opportunity to showcase their intelligence, enthusiasm, and commitment towards learning. I know they inspired these future teachers to feel excited about coming to work with our students in South Carolina."
